macOS Installation Guide

When downloading Verbatik AI for macOS, you may see a security warning because the app is not code-signed. This is normal for apps downloaded outside the Mac App Store. Here's how to open it safely.

"Cannot be verified" Warning

If you see this message:

"Verbatik AI" cannot be opened because Apple cannot verify it is free from malware.

This is expected. The app is safe - it just hasn't been submitted to Apple for notarization.

How to Open the App

System Settings

  1. Try to open the app normally (it will be blocked)
  2. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security
  3. Scroll down to the Security section
  4. You'll see a message about "Verbatik AI" being blocked
  5. Click Open Anyway
  6. Enter your password if prompted
  7. Click Open in the final dialog

Why Does This Happen?

macOS Gatekeeper protects your Mac by only allowing apps from:

  • The Mac App Store
  • Identified developers (code-signed apps)

Since Verbatik AI is distributed directly from our website without Apple code signing, Gatekeeper shows a warning. The app is completely safe - this is just Apple being cautious about apps downloaded from the internet.
